Cybersonics FRC Team 103 consists of dedicated students who compete enthusiastically in FIRST Robotics competitions!  Students work as a team to problem-solve, but may take a special interest in learning the following skills:

  • Engineering and manufacturing - fabricate and manufacture the robot, including assembling and preparing the parts
  • Programming - program the robot to move and handle objects, applying mathematical skills and writing code in Java 
  • Marketing and Design - design logos and promotional materials, keep stakeholders informed via our team website and social media 
  • Business Planning and Fundraising - develop annual business plan, organize fundraising events and corporate campaigns

Cybersonics at Competition


2022-2023 Team 103 Season Highlights:

PHS Cybersonics Team 103 EXCELS at World Championships


In April 2023 the World Championships were held in Houston, Texas. There were 620 teams that were divided into 8 divisions. Each division consisted of about 77 teams. 


After 2 days of competing, our team placed 3rd out of 77 teams. They were 3rd seed alliance captains going into finals and finished the competition as the 5th ranked alliance.


The Cybersonics Team had an outstanding season and finished it with the following rankings:

In Pennsylvania we placed 2nd out of 58 teams, which is top 3.4%

In our FMA district we placed 5th out of 127 teams, which top 3.9%

In the USA we placed 88 out of 2687 teams, which is the top 3.2%

In the Worlds we placed 96 out of 3294 teams, which is the top 2.9%
